New websites and blogs have to go through a series of events to be sure that google and the world knows you exist.  Among all the search engines Google is king, however ranking well on the other sites well grant you rewards as well.  When people want to find you they input your name or website into the search engine and the spiders seek you out, I have provided some useful tips below to help you out.

First thing, be certain to include important and relevant text on your website with keywords that are significant.  Backlinks from a wide variety of websites, blogs, forums etc. back to your website will immediately boost your ranking, as google and the other will deem your website important. You can actually submit your website directly to the search engines yourself.  You may be wondering, just how to make that happen?  Don’t be concerned I’m going to tell you, I’m not going to leave you hanging like that.  This is the exact step by step methods to use to assist with SEO, and getting you recognized.  Relevant content is on the top of the list, and I’ll tell you what it is?  And why it’s so essential?

The search engines use something called “spiders” and these electronic spiders make their way thru your sebsite reading what you wrote.  No not real spiders silly, these are just what the programs are called as they are designed to crawl around and search for information and text which keeps reoccurring, thereby the spiders recognize that people are searching for this information so it must be relative and important.  The information on your sites match up against information on other peoples websites and thats how the ranking process begins.  Please don’t waste your time trying to beat the system by saturating your content with keywords, it won’t work and sometimes it could actually hurt your ranking, so don’t do it.  The important thing to remember is in order to improve your relative ranking, you must include keywords and content that will be useful for your visitors and relates to the purpose of your website.   Make sure that your keywords are part of real sentences and paragraphs.

As I mentioned above, if you attempt to stock pile or randomly place keywords with no purpose it will not improve your ranking.  The search engines will see exactly what you are doing and all your relevant content will now be as worthless as a $2 watch. You want to be certain to include important, relevant information like where you are, your company name, what you do, how long you have been in business etc. If you follow this blueprint I guarantee that your search engine ranking will improve over time.

Backlinks are important also, they help the search engines to recognize that your website is important/relevant.  When other websites, blogs, newsletters, articles point or direct people back to your website it shows the search engines that your website is important.  You must be certain to use relevant keywords on all your back links, things like your company name or product.  You never want to use short or long tail links that are irrelevant. It’s unbelievable how many various ways you can point traffic back to yourself.  Be creative and try everything, don’t spam your message everywhere though that’s really bad.  For example these simple methodsyou can try:

1.Many local areas have business list, you can submit your site info.
2.Link exchanges are very effective.
3.Submit your website to relevant directories.
4. You can also use local search sites such as google.com/local/add
5. Also exploresites such as yelp.com

The very last thing is you can submit your websites, URL’s directly to the search engine sites.  Google, Yahoo, Bing are the top three.  Bing is the new name for MSN if you thought that I forgot about them.  These methods are all FREE for the most part, and you really don’t have to worry to much about registering with the search engines as the spiders will find you, I just threw that in there because it coudn’t hurt.

I just recently had the pleasure to attend a “More Heart than Talent” workshop back in November, 2009.  In 1998 after a successful network marketing career, Mr. Jeffery Combs founded his company Golden Mastermind Seminars Inc.  The company is run by Jeffery & Erica Combs; here Mr. Combs shares his knowledge with fellow entrepreneurs.  He specializes in prospecting, leadership, and personal development.  He is also an expert at mindset training and all levels of effective marketing.  Mr. Combs is a seven figure income earner and he has personally trained and consulted many six and seven income earners as well.  This workshop was awesome the gloves came off and it was “on like popcorn”.  Mr. Combs shared with the crowd various techniques and strategies that any person in direct sales or network marketing must have or learn if they want long term success.

I have been to hundreds of these workshops and the amount of information covered in just one day was simply out of this world.  He preaches “ABC” always be closing and many other various anagrams such as “NFL”.  No not the National Football League, but not for long or no funds left.  Another good one is “JOB” which stands for just over broke.  The amount of information covered in this 1-day workshop is astonishing.  Mr. Combs is the president of Golden Mastermind Seminars & the More Heart than Talent workshop. Unemployment hasn’t been this low since the depression.  People are looking for a way to opt-out. Most families are extremely deep in debt and the foreclosure rate is at unbelievable highs. But the worst part of it all is most people are blindsided by the reality of life.  Society has been brainwashed into believing that if we follow the normal blueprint of life we will retire well off.  This concept sounds great on paper, but the truth is most people retire broke and nearly broke.  The solution was never given to us otherwise I’m certain that more people would have signed up for that class.  People have turned to network marketing as a way to offset the financial pain that many families are enduring.

The most important factor that must be understood with no doubt whatsoever is “Profits are better than Wages”.  Jim Rohn once said “Wages make you a living, but profits can make you a fortune”.  When you start a new job, you start at the bottom and remain there for years trying to work your way to the top.  Network Marketers can reach the top of their company based on your efforts.  Therefore yor income has no cap!  The corporate model is much different and nearly everyone in society follows it.  A corporation has a boss or President; under him are some lower level managers . The CEO and people at the top, right?  Finally at the very bottom we have the pawns, your clerks, customer service, mail room people etc. Now I want you to focus, I want you to close your eyes and think about this very carefully.  Who do you think works the hardest for the least amount of money?  Yes the lower tier workers, many will work their entire life and never make what the CEO makes over a 10 year period.

This triangle shaped model is set up so that the only people, who prosper or ever really have a chance of achieving wealth, are the people at the top.  To reach the top, may take a lifetime and still some people still most people will never make it to the top.  The network marketing model is an upside down triangle.  The way it works is, you begin at the lowest level possible and based on how much you put into it, the amount of money you can make virtually has no ceiling.  You could possibly make more money than some pro athletes, doctors, lawyers and yes even CEO’s.  But wait, it’s not just you everyone can move up and the amount of income you make usually has no limit.  The worker in the other model will work hard and hope that his/her performance is good enough for a salary increase which also is controlled be upper level management.

Let’s look at this theory just to see how you feel. Communism vs. Capitalism, one believes that the money should be controlled by the government because the people can’t do it on their own. “The people are too dumb and stupid and the state should run everything” capitalism on the other hand believes that
“The profits belong in the hands of the people”.  No you are not a communist and your company doesn’t practice communism, this is just an example to help you see where and how the majority of every dollar earned is distributed.  The big boys make the big bucks and the little people get scraps.

Social media websites, such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter are now largely connected with and a part of many network marketers and direct sales people plans. These entrepreneurs are seeking to generate leads and acquire new customers by targeting the millions of people who visit these websites daily. Now anyone with a little bit of common since can see that this in theory is a good idea, and there are thousands of network marketers who are making 5 and 6 figures because of it. Not to mention you must consider this, what travels the fastest good news or bad news? Don’t just answer the question think about it for a second, what type of news travels the fastest? It’s bad news right? Now another question, why? The answer is simple human beings are easily intrigued by failure, bad news, disappointment etc. I’m not a doctor or psychologist but you can check and see that I am telling you the truth. Just watch the 11:00 news any night of the week nearly 80-90% of what they report is bad news, it’s almost depressing.

What does this have to do with Facebook and the other social media sites? If you are on these sites pushing and pitching, people will tell people who tell people. And your reputation could be damaged. When marketing on these sites remember to be social, that’s what they were designed for. Introduce yourself, don’t just send random friend request to strangers. A lot of people will message you back anyway, “Do I know you?” Try to start a conversation get to know a little bit about the person first. You will find that people are more receptive to what you have to offer once they know you and trust you.

This is how I look at it, imagine getting invited to a dinner party. There are business people there, doctors, lawyers, pro athletes, teachers, people from all walks of life. Now what do you think would happen if you walked around that room and said “Hi my name is Dave I have this great product it’s in pre-launch now you must try it, it will make you rich.” Do you think it would be a safe assumption to say that after you hit 9 or 10 people with this same line that security may be escorting you out shortly. The same thing applies to these social sites, you will be removed from a friend list or un-followed quicker than you can imagine. Now the proper way to handle this is to work the room and introduce yourself, engage in some idle chit chat and maybe leave your business card. If during conversation you have an opportunity to discuss what you do than by all means take it, but don’t lead with it.
